not worth it

remember the mean mom?

well, she gave in to the peer pressure from her countless 'friends.'

she made play-dough.

she regretted it 15 minutes of unsupervised play later.

not worth it, but that just me.

I concur. Bad idea. Never ever give in to peer pressure.

I hate play dough but like you give in and then i'm washing my floors, table and kids. Why can't they just sit and watch tv all day and get smart from it? It would be alot easier...

hahah that is so funny and I'm sorry I didn't mean to pressure, cause frankly Luke played with it and not one speck ended up on the floor but I'm sure Lily will be crazy with it and then I will probably join your anti playdough club. And I am still wondering what that 52 thing is

I hate play-dough. Does that mean I'm a mean mom too? Brody always puts his cars into it and it gets all stuck into the cracks, tires, openings of his cars and it drives me bonkers! Let alone the mess there is all over the floor! We should start a club.

SO with you....I am a mean mom without play-dough too. My kids just get extra excited about other people's houses - because they have play-dough.

Um, some friends you have! Wait, I think I was one of those friends.
But I kinda thought it was implied that play dough and unsupervised play don't go together!
Play dough comes out at my house when I am making dinner and am right there.
Then Roman picks up all the bigger pieces. I let it sit for an hour to get hard and then it sweeps up perfectly.
Come on, give them one more chance with play dough!

hahaha ONLY Alden is allowed unsupervised play dough play. Lucy would make that kind of a mess too.

there is no play doh in my house. period. ever. the only dough i let my kids play with is of the cookie variety. ever. and that, my friend, is always worth having around. i do agree with Karen, though, finger painting with pudding is worth it...

Pretty soon it will be nice out, and maybe play-doh can be an outside activity. But then again, do you really want it smushed into your grass?
I did try making play doh for Brody a couple months ago and he wouldn't even touch it.

pahaha!!! But look at their little faces!! I usually buy the dollar store kind that is smaller than one of those pieces on the floor...give it another chance, they just didnt know how to handle all that excitement!

Wow, I didn't know there were so many people against playdough. we love it at our house, I think the key might be, it needs to be supervised play. I love doing it WITH my kids. It gives me a chance to try and be creative along with them. Give it another try...you might even have more fun than them.
