thursdays questions?

1. Is there anything better than doing all the rage right now which is a list on the blog?

2. Is it rude if I am hurrying out of Costco and walk really fast past a couple of old people to get to the receipt stamper first?

3. The kids 'dragged' us (Derek) to McDonalds for supper tonight. ( i confess, i like it, and preggo me won't hold back from going. so sue me.) We (I) told the kids if they were good we could get ice cream. They were ok, but the line got really long all of a sudden so Derek said we could have ice cream at home. (surprisingly the SUPERSTORE root beer cream is not gone yet, oh i bought 2, that's why.) There was an outrage by all (me) and I took the kids out and belted them in to be so good while he got them. He came out with 2 measly ice cream cones. I rolled my pregnant eyes at Derek and then he rolled his eyes at me, apparently we need to learn how to share and not give the kids everything they want. (aren't I an adult?) I let the kids have a lot, I had a little, and Derek had none. The question is, don't you think I dealt with this rather well? I'm such a mature adult.

4. Are you looking for me? I'll just be out in my backyard relaxing in my new zero gravity chair while my children are being angels. Ok, it's a cheap knock off zero gravity chair, but just as heavenly.

5. Why do I kill the spiders and flies that enter my house left and right without a thought, and to date I have carried 2 ladybugs out the door?

6. Did I do my 8km race a few ago? You bet I did. I felt great (during the race) and ran in a respectable time for the state I am in. (felt terrible the next day) I think it's time to start walking for exercise, booorrrrring.

7. My kids have 17000 mosquito bites combined. Am I a bad mom? They don't have sunburns though!

( Thank heavens the picture makes it look not so bad so no one will call social services on me. Their legs and arms are pretty bad. Poor kid, he can't even stop itching for the picture. In my defense, they had spray on at some point, and James had a shirt. When he took his shirt off he already had a bunch. If you don't have the Benadryl spray, get it, it WORKS!)

8. How many hours have YOU wasted on pintrest. If you don't know what this is, don't say I didn't warn you!

9. How awesome is your dad/husband/father of the children? Oh mine? Yep, awesome. Happy late Father's Day! Minus the both of us having to talk in church, it was a great day.

(what would that be like to follow the lead vehicle?)

10. Want to see my latest project? My project as in my friend Jill found it for me on Kijij, (I paid $60 for it by the way) and my perfectionist husband wouldn't let me do it, haha! I took the old hardware off and threw it away because it was ugly. Now it takes me 42 seconds to open a drawer. Where can I get cute cheap hardware, and fast?

Terrible pic. It's already all set up in the bedroom and it's hard to get a good angle. I kinda wanted to glaze it or antique it, but Derek didn't, I couldn't fight it because he did all the work. Maybe if I get sick of it someday I'll change it up. So there is a beautiful mirror that came with it. I am going to use it somewhere else in the house. It's not done yet. I know what a waste to put a tv on it, but whatever, we're just those people who will always have a tv in the bedroom. I cannot even fathom not having one anymore. I'm so very close to being ready to post pictures of the WHOLE house. So close as in probably by the end of summer.

I was mad when Brad bought a huge old tv for the bedroom. I will never let it leave, love it in there! King size bed and a tv, best things ever!
Dresser looks good, can't wait to see the mirror!
I'm jealous of your 0 grav chair and your grass and your kids playing nicely. Why did I think it was a good idea to have a baby during the summer?

You've inspired me, I'm going to blog a list right now.

5. I just carried a SPIDER out the door today... Ander's been obsessed with stomping on ants (without hesitation) outside, so I'm trying to teach them to love "all creatures". Blah!
6. Very impressive.
8. I LOVE pinterest. It's saving my computer memory.
10. I'd go with Derek with this one... I think it looks great as is.
These list posts are very entertaining and informative!

So, I could pretty much comment on all your comments...
I've out-walked a few people to get to the Costco stamper guy before them. I tried to be casual about it.
You're still running??? Amazing.
I don't know what pintrest is. I've "seen" stuff about it, but haven't dared to click over. Yes, I was born in a barn.
I could go on, but I won't. Loved it all!

Just did the race the guy to the stamper yesterday actually, and it felt great winning! (you can tell I haven't been in a lot of "races" lately!)
Unlike you- miss run races while being prego-! way to go Lindsay! Keep it up as long as you can, you won't regret it, I promise!!
I am right there with you on the spiders, flies and Ladybugs thing! Thought I was the only one though!
Lastly what is a 0 gravity chair?? sounds like I need to know about these!

I love the dresser! I want to refinish one for Aust, but I don't know where to start. Did you sand that down first or just paint over it?
And instead of walking you could join me for some swimming! You know you want to!

love the dresser, I'll be there to see it in person soon. the other day at costco Sadie asked the lady to draw a happy face on the reciept oh she did 3 minutes later curly hair and eyelashes too!! I hear bats eat 1000 mosquitos a night, I almost want to get a bat house for my backyard... almost.

I love feeling so out of it. Actually hate it, but hey I chose to move away right? What's a zero gravity chair? And what the heck is that other thing you spend too much time on? Miss you!

You did the race AND you did awesome. I was there, so I know. Brag a little.

A TV in the room would be great, but there is one reason I won't allow it. SportsCenter. I know that it would be a fight everynight to get Brett to turn off sportscenter. But the dressers is super cute. I can never find stuff like that when I look on Kijiji.

Good job at doing a race while you're pregnant.

Great job on the dresser, I just spray painted Jaycie's night stand and it turned out terrible, the paint was running (probably was too close and spraying it too thick) and then started peeling after it dried. Weird. Anyways, just gonna sand it and paint it the old fashioned way. I'm not cut out for all this furniture refinishing stuff. Still think your amazing for doing a run! Way to go! I do it all the time when I'm in a hurry, go past all the slow people to get mine stamped first at costco, sometimes I feel bad, but.....
About the working thing, yeah I worked tons in March and April to get enough hours, you probably heard me complaining on the blog about how I was working so much, counting down my shifts now though. Yup, definitely worth it to get mat leave, just not fun to have to work tons in the summer. Bummer. Hopefully we will see ya around or maybe not if your hiding in your backyard. Can't wait to see the house pics! Anyways, longest comment ever.....

I concur with ALL of your statements. althoguht I sdon't know what a zero gravity chair is, but if you have one it must be cool. I'll take you word for it. Will bee seeing the likes of the Baldry's down at the reunion?I hope so.
Funny story: I taught the lesson in RS on sunday and someone who was visiting asked after if I have ever lived in S. alberta I said sadly no, she said "oh because you look just like someone from there, then I said" I do have lots of cousins what about the steeds?" then she looked puzzled...then she said "her name is Lindsay" I said Yeah "Lindsay Steed! ...oh I mean Baldry! " she's said "Yeah! that's who"
so apparently we look alike.
